"Works" In Progress

Stan Purdman

Jim Malusa
If you had asked me a year ago if I knew either of these two guys, I am pretty sure I would have said, "The guy on the right works for GEICO Ins. Co.

Now I can tell you that they are both excellent writers with interests in cycling.  See they are both pictured with bikes!  Each has written what I consider to be excellent travelogs. However, I bet you can find a bunch of other excellent travelogs and cycling books written by others.

Please keep in mind that the context of this blog is "geared" towards talking about my personal "connections".  Both Stan and Jim were introduced in a post call: Going "buy" the Book. However, the purpose of the post was to "reveal" three personal connection that were on my "Yellow Shirt" page, Wayne Ostrander, Stan Purdman, and Scott Johnson.

When I created the referenced post name, I was just being "punny" using the word "buy" when it could have been the shorter "by".  To be square, I do hope you would consider the books that Stan has written.  Again, I think they are good reads...and he is my friend.  For the other books listed here, it is up to you.

However, I do want to point out Stan's uniqueness to those of us that live in or near North East Ohio.  In particular, Stan has written two books about "cycling trips/destinations" in our back yards.
